Fishers of Men in Peru

Thanks to all of you our friends and partners who make our ministry outreach possible! Many of you may know that I was recently in the USA for a few weeks. While in the states I visited Michigan, Lousiana, South Carolina, North Carolina and Florida and was able to make aquaintances with new pastors and churches. I praise God that my travels were blessed and I made it back to Peru safely and in good health! After a month, Liliana and Andrew were desperate to see me!

Although I was not in Peru for a month, our ministry continued under the leadership of Liliana. She organized the members of our church to form a team for our very first children's Harvest Festival (in lieu of halloween). God has placed a special emphasis in our hearts for the children's ministry, so we've begun to take more time planning, teaching, and preparing to make sure that we're reaching the kids as we should. And here in Lima there are a LOT of kids! :)

I was really pleased with how Liliana had so many of our leaders and people involved with the Harvest Festival! We had youth and adults helping, parents and also singles. The Lord recently brought to us a young lady who owns a preschool nearby, and she's been coming to our services regularly. With her help, Liliana organized an entire show for the kids that consisted of games, song and dance, clowns, puppets and of course lots of treats. The entire show lasted about an hour and a half, and when it was all said and done, over 80 children had been ministered to! (see photos of festival)

Now we're our plans are for our Christmas Outreach. Our goal is to reach over 300 children with the message of Jesus for Christmas. This time we'll be ministering in a very poor area where many children are abused, neglected, and have very little. Just us going to share God's love will mean so much to many of them! We'll have songs, games, clowns, puppets, a gospel presentation, snacks, and small gifts for the kids. Our budget is $5 per child, so please consider making a small contribution (or a large one!) to minister to the kids.
